Preschool Standards

Preschool is not required. It does not come with a Common Core list of national standards that all students must know before entering Kindergarten. Even so, researchers have found that when preschoolers possess certain skills, they perform better as they enter formal schooling. Knowing a bit more about these abilities will help you and your preschoolers informally and playfully develop these pre reading and math skills, preparing students for future success.
